Video for group problem-solving
The Simpsons: Season 2, episode 2
This is the third clip from this particular episode of The Simpsons. This clip is from early in the episode. After Homer gets his hair back, he is invited to sit as a consultant on the board. At his first meeting, Mr. Burns is looking for solutions to the company’s low productivity and high accident rate. Several options are given, but Mr. Burns adopts Homer’s idea of providing more tartar sauce on the days fish sticks are offered for lunch. Mr. Burns then praises the change as successful sweeping reforms although Mr. Smithers has a more plausible explanation for the improved job numbers.
This clips goes particularly well when presenting a plan for groups to follow when solving problems, like the reflective-thinking method or P-MOPS plans.
